International remote work

Spain digital nomad visa

If you work remotely for companies or clients outside Spain, you can live here legally with your family. We help you build a file with no gaps, from Spain or from your home country.

Is it for you?

This route is for professionals who work remotely for foreign companies or, if freelance, mainly for clients outside Spain. If you work for a Spanish company there are other routes, and we explain them on the call.

Main requirements

  • Remote work for a company or clients outside Spain, with a working relationship of at least 3 months.
  • The company has been operating for at least 1 year.
  • A university degree or at least 3 years of professional experience.
  • Minimum income linked to the Spanish minimum wage, plus an extra amount per family member.
  • Health and social security coverage.
  • No criminal record in the last 5 years.

Minimum income amounts are updated every year. We give you the exact current figure for your case on the free call.

What we do for you

  • Check whether your profile fits and which route is better: from Spain or through the consulate.
  • Give you your exact checklist, including your employer’s documents.
  • Review translations and apostilles before filing.
  • File and follow your case until the decision, your family’s too.

Mistakes that lead to refusals

  • Employment letters that do not clearly state the work is remote.
  • Income that is poorly evidenced or below the minimum once family is included.
  • Foreign documents without an apostille or sworn translation.

Frequently asked questions

Can I apply while I’m in Spain as a tourist?

In many cases yes, through the UIGE, as long as your stay is legal. We check it on the call.

Can my family come with me?

Yes. Your partner and children can apply with you. Each family member adds to the minimum income.

Will I pay taxes in Spain?

Living here, you will usually become a Spanish tax resident. We connect you with a tax adviser to look at your case.
